Hospitals are hiring...

This has been a trend for the past several years but it seems to be increasing rather than decreasing. The American Medical News posted an interesting article by Victoria Stagg Elliott suggesting the "Seven Land Mines of Hospital Employment Contracts". One key point I’d add to the otherwise well written article is the fact that the revenue cycle for the average hospital or health system as compared to the revenue cycle of the average medical practice is dramatically different. The sooner physicians are educated about this key difference the better off both sides of the deal are.
